At hype SWISS, it all began the way good stories often do: with three people who, on paper, were not necessarily destined to end up in the same room.
Let alone create a Swiss telecommunications company together.
Three musketeers, then.
Yes, we know: traditionally, there are four.
But let us first introduce the first three.
Three very different journeys.
Three ways of looking at the same problem.
And, fairly quickly, one shared conviction: telecom can be serious without being austere, high-performing without being complicated, and innovative without becoming incomprehensible.
That is probably where the story of hype SWISS really begins.
Three worlds. One idea.
Telecommunications, entrepreneurship and technology came together around one shared conviction: telecom can be serious without being austere, high-performing without being complicated, and innovative without talking nonsense.
Olivier's slightly compulsive taste for new ideas.
Akeem's technology, code and artificial intelligence.
Add a few decades of combined experience, plenty of discussion, a few reasonable ideas, many decidedly less reasonable ones, spreadsheets, APIs, SIM cards, fibre, lines of code, coffee...
And fruit. Lots of fruit.
That is how hype SWISS was born.
Not to reinvent radio waves. Nor to tell the world we had discovered the Internet.
Simply because, after each spending years in very different worlds, we found ourselves gathered around the same observation: telecommunications could be much easier to understand, more pleasant to use and more transparent to buy.
02
Because choosing a plan shouldn't require a degree in telecommunications
Let's be serious for two minutes.
Telecommunications have sometimes become unnecessarily complicated.
Offer names that are impossible to remember. Options inside options. Options that activate other options. Fine print.
And that strange feeling that you almost need to work in telecom to choose correctly... your telecom plan.
You probably know what we mean.
That offer that looks perfect until a little asterisk appears. Then a second. Then a note explaining the first asterisk. And sometimes an extra option that lets you get the price that was displayed in large type just above.
So we asked ourselves a fairly simple question: what if we stopped making things so complicated?
03
Why fruit?
Because fruit is simple.
You recognise it. You remember it.
And frankly, it is still friendlier than an offer called: "Ultra Connect Premium Max 5G Plus Unlimited Edition".
At hype SWISS, our fruit makes it easy to identify different offers and different service worlds.
Mobile, Internet, TV, Telephony, Connectivity.
You can choose them, combine them and gradually build your own service universe.
04
Because a telecom solution can be extremely complex behind the screen... without having to be complex in front of the customer.
Behind our colourful little fruit are, of course, networks, infrastructure, operators, cloud platforms, security mechanisms, monitoring systems and a fairly impressive amount of technology.
But that is precisely the point: it is our job to deal with all that complexity. Not yours.
Delyan can therefore keep talking about racks. Akeem can keep coding things mere mortals do not immediately understand. Olivier can keep turning grains of sand into complete universes.
And you can simply choose your fruit. That seems fairly healthy to us.
Mobile, Internet, TV, Telephony, Connectivity
And you can simply choose your fruit.
You can choose them, combine them and gradually build your own service universe.

A phone that stops working exactly when you need it is not funny.
Neither is an unstable Internet connection.
Nor an incomprehensible bill.
An unpleasant pricing surprise.
Or a customer service system that sends you from voice menu to voice menu until you gently start regretting ever learning how to use a phone.
You probably know the scene.
"For technical support, press 2." You press 2.
"Does your request concern your Internet connection? Press 1." You press 1.
"To return to the previous menu, press 9." You start looking for a human being.
Then a particularly enthusiastic voice announces: "Your call is important to us."
At that precise moment, you may start to doubt it.
And it is precisely because we all know these kinds of situations that we want to try doing things differently.
Our ambition is therefore very clear: to offer reliable, secure, high-performing and accessible telecom solutions, with understandable terms, transparent pricing and as much clarity as possible.
We did not invent the Internet. And that is perfectly fine.
We do not claim to have invented fibre optics. Delyan would have corrected us immediately.
Nor did we invent artificial intelligence. Akeem would probably already have opened his computer to prove it.
And Olivier officially promises not to claim he invented fruit.
What we do believe is that all of this can be used differently.
Bring technologies together better.
Simplify our offers.
Make prices easier to understand.
Create a more human experience.
And to make sure choosing your telecom services no longer feels like reading the general terms and conditions of a mortgage on a Sunday evening.
01
The team
Three musketeers.
Delyan
the one who prefers solving problems before they exist
NetworksCloudCybersecurityMicrosoft 365AI
Delyan is the one you can talk to about fibre optics, networks, cloud, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, telephony, connectivity or artificial intelligence without triggering that slightly awkward silence that usually appears after thirty seconds of technical conversation.
And somewhere along the way, his passion for telecommunications was almost written in advance.
Before networks, there was already... sound.
Delyan is also a sound engineer.
In other words, someone who deliberately spent part of his life listening to what others do not hear, chasing temperamental frequencies, eliminating interference and figuring out why something that "should work" stubbornly refuses to do so.
In hindsight, moving into telecommunications was almost the obvious next step.
After all, in both worlds, everything comes down to signal, transmission, precision and reliability.
Only today, frequencies have also become millions of data packets crossing Switzerland in a matter of milliseconds.
After more than twenty years in telecommunications and IT infrastructure, working in connection with Switzerland's largest network as well as with numerous businesses, Delyan has developed one simple conviction:
"good technology is technology the customer never needs to worry about."
When a network is well designed, it disappears into the background.
When a migration is well prepared, it feels almost effortless.
When infrastructure is properly secured, no one notices everything that was prevented.
And that is probably the finest compliment an engineer can receive.
Over the years, his playground has naturally expanded: networks, cloud, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, automation, hybrid infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
Not simply because trends had to be followed.
But because technology, however impressive, should always answer one very simple question:
"Does it genuinely add something for the customer?"
Because Delyan belongs to that fairly rare category of technical experts who mainly enjoy making technology... invisible.
He does not particularly enjoy talking to you about protocols for three hours. Even though he probably could.
What he enjoys is enabling a company or an individual to use a complex solution without ever having to understand its complexity.
Because ultimately: the customer should not have to learn the telecom business. Telecom should adapt to the customer.
In the team, Delyan is often the one who listens before speaking. He regularly starts a sentence with:
"Technically... it's possible."
Then comes a short pause. Because what follows is usually more important:
"...but there is probably a simpler way to do it."
And, truth be told, that sentence sometimes saves us from a few misadventures.
"His world spans infrastructure to business platforms. But his objective always stays the same: make technology useful, reliable and transparent."
03 / The mascot
Then hype-hype arrived
Something was still missing.
Every good story needs a character.
So we welcomed a rather unusual bird: hype-hype.
Rare. Curious. Friendly. Slightly cheeky.
And definitely unimpressed by the habits of the industry.
Why a bird? Excellent question.
We already had the fruit. Someone had to look after it.
More seriously, hype-hype is a pretty good reflection of the way we see things: being professional without being boring, innovative without becoming incomprehensible, and serious without necessarily taking ourselves too seriously.
Because behind the colours, the fruit, the winks and our sometimes different way of communicating, our business itself is extremely serious.

About / Our story
Three worlds, one idea
hype SWISS was born from the meeting of three complementary worlds: telecommunications. Entrepreneurship and customer experience. Technology, development and artificial intelligence.
Not from a vast 247-page strategic plan.
Rather, from very different experiences and one shared conviction: telecom can be serious without being austere, high-performing without being complicated, and innovative without talking nonsense.
Delyan makes sure the technology and infrastructure hold up.
Akeem builds the tools and platforms that turn ideas into reality.
Olivier keeps asking why things could not be done differently.
And together, above all, we try to make sure you never need to know everything happening behind the scenes.
Because when it comes down to it, our definition of a good telecom experience can be summed up in very few words:
it works. It's clear. You know what you're paying.
The rest, leave it to us.
Welcome to hype SWISS.
Three musketeers. Fruit. A rare bird.
And Swiss telecoms that decided to be a little less... telecom.
